U.S. Navy Missile Destroyer Tests UAS for Recon

California-based AeroVironment Inc. says the U.S. Navy has tested and deployed its RQ-20B Puma small unmanned aircraft system (UAS) aboard a Flight I Guided Missile Destroyer. Some of the testing exercises included the use of AeroVironment’s fully autonomous system to recover the aircraft aboard a ship.
