General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) has announced that the company’s Predator series of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA), has reached the milestone of six million flight hours. The unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) series, which includes Predator, Predator B, Gray Eagle, Avenger and MQ-9B SkyGuardian, has flown 430,495 total missions, with almost 90 percent of these flown in combat.

At any given time, 69 Predator-class Medium-altitude, Long-endurance (MALE) RPA are airborne around the globe. GA-ASI’s UAVs average more than 60,000 hours per month supporting the U.S....
